Multi site config and hosting

Just started with Locomotive, I need to create a multi site setup, which could grow to over 50+. Will Locomotive manage this, or should I create a separate locomotive app for each site as this number could easily get higher, or maybe in blocks of 10 sites. Bearing this in mind, does anybody have any recommended hosting platforms for this, i.e. heroku, bushi.do? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

I do not have 50+ site on locomotive for the moment (more like 10+ atm), but loco seems to behave really well.
Personally I prefer to host it on a dediacted serveur, and the footprint has been quite small from what I can see. I have no other experience on other hosting so I won't be able to advice you sorry. -

At my old firm we had around 30 sites running from a single installation without any problems. The traffic to those sites was not very high though. I'd imagine 50 sites wouldn't be too much of a problem at all unless you are pulling in some serious traffic.
The server gear wasn't too serious, you should be fairly fine using heroku or bushi.do for your sites. -

Thanks for your comments , the sites will have really low traffic and therefore I think I will give it a whirl and see how it scales.
